Young Writers - Get Mentored by Kalinda Ashton!

Express Media and the Victorian Writers’ Centre are offering an emerging writer under 25 the opportunity to be mentored by Kalinda Ashton, author of The Danger Game and joint winner of the Sydney Morning Herald Young Novelist of the Year award 2010.
As part of the Grace Marion Wilson Mentorship program one young writer is paired with an established professional for 16 hours of mentoring for a current fiction project. The program aims not only to strengthen writing skills, but to give young authors confidence and an understanding of professional writing practices.
In order to apply for the program you must:
- between 18 and 25 years of age;
- e a fiction project underway;
- have completed at least 6,000 words of a draft.
Applications are now open and will close 12pm, Friday 28 October.
